Profile for Susan Rees
I was born in 1964 in Birmingham and now married with three children.
At school I studied 9 O\'levels & 4 A\'levels including modern art & had some of my work exhibited as a student.
I have always loved to do artistic things and be creative throughout my life but have been limited to what I could produce due to the hectic schedule of raising a family.
Recently as my children have grown older and become more independent I have been able to put more time into my passion for art.
In the last few years due to changes in my home life and a change of career I have been made more aware of how important life is and especially our sight and how we should not take this precious sense for granted.
I am inspired by the natural environment which surrounds us and the influence that the sky, sea & earth and their ever changing elements has on us all. I appreciate the importance of light, texture and colour & like to watch the transformation of mediums as they mix together to form new images.
I love to create colourful images that flow freely together and give the viewer a chance to express what they see within the picture and hope that I have created something that others too will enjoy and gain pleasure from seeing.
