Statement:
Oxygen: living. Art: artist. It's as simple as that. It is the nourishment our inner being craves. Without it, artists would be starving. Art can mean many different things to a person. For me it's my sanity. If I'm not creating, I'm not myself. I've tried to fight it. Believe me, it's not easy. But there comes a time when you just give in to the passion and listen to your heart. Sometimes the creativity flows like a stream and other days it will be a raging river. You take what you can get and do with it what you can.
Vita / Lebenslauf:
Stephanie Amos spent most of her early education in the art room. Any spare time she had was spent drawing, painting, or sculpting. Right after high school she attempted college and found that she needed to explore the world and what it had to offer. In the spring of 1994, Stephanie left for the Bering Sea and entered the commercial fishing industry. After five years out at sea, she was inspired once again to return to school and achieve a higher education in art. And so began the rebirth of her art career.
Stephanie is an artist who expresses her creativity with multiple medias. Her style is full of vivid color, texture, and movement. She paints abstract works of art in oils, acrylics and mixed medias. In addition to her painting, Ms. Amos is also skilled in sculpture, photography, and pottery.
