I have had a keen interest in modern art in all its forms from an early age. Having studied graphic design and subsequently worked in various London commercial design/advertising studios, I developed my own style of painting during this time and began to pursue an increasing interest in non-commercial ventures.
I have always been a passionate devotee of abstract, avant-garde and conceptual non-figurative art, and would freely acknowledge the influence of the work of the following artists:
Antoni Tapies, Mark Rothko, Cy Twombly, Piero Manzoni, Lucio Fontana, Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Ben Nicholson, Yves Klein, Anselm Kiefer, Gerhard Richter, Pierre Soulages, Jean Dubuffet, Willem de Kooning, Alberto Burri, Agnes Martin, Jean Tinguely, Joseph Beuys, amongst many others.
