Vita / Lebenslauf:
I believe that artists can play an important role in opening a way for women of the Third Millennium to realize their full potentials after thousands of years of patriarchal subjugation. My paintings are an attempt to reconnect women to what has been lost, to her prehistoric, matriarchal roots: her ancient relationship to nature (Meditation series) her goddess-based spirituality(Mandala series) and to the once honored, sacred mystery of her body(Blue Lumina series). When such a connection is made through art, the viewer is given an opportunity to identify with past images of her inner nature, thus, making it possible for a woman to once again, as in ancient times, see her body as holy and her mission in life as sacred. With such an image of herself, she can be true to her empowered inner being and command respect and honor wherever she is seen.

I will have artwork on exhibit at the Florence Biennale December 2009, in Florence Italy.
