Art has always been in my blood, I have always been drawn to painting and drawing, fascinated by great masters. Even as a child I used to visit art courses, later on I tried different mediums, but it hasn't been until my adult age when I discovered and started to experience with oil paints.
My first experience with oil-painting was in a studio of a lady-artist who's name I don't remember. It was there where I learned classical techniques of canvas preparation, from stretching, sizing and priming old fashioned linen on wooden stretcher bars and painting techniques using traditional mediums. It was there where I first encountered typical smell of turpentine, dammar and linseed oil mixed with paint.
After that I visited more courses trying new mediums like acrylics, or watercolours, but it was oilpaint I always found to be most fascinating medium. In earlier days my favourite motives were mostly figurative, but after my arrival to England, inspired by masters like Edward Seago, I slowly transformed myself into dedicated landscape painter. And English landscape with its variety is a true inspiration.
