Statement:
Photography is the art that won’t leave me alone. Just when I think I’ve done or said all I’ve needed to say in the form, I find the camera back in my hands and the memory card filling up with images. For me, photography’s a form of self-journalism, a diary in images only, but images that draw only on myth or dream, sometimes working out as a type of art therapy.
I can never wait to see the final images to see what I’m trying to tell myself; a kind of translation from wherever the art originates, a strange spiritual type of message in a bottle. If I can give anything to an audience, I would hope for it to be the same moment of surprise or gratifying feeling of seeing a piece of beauty, whatever that may be.
Vita / Lebenslauf:
Angela is a photographer, writer, painter and small press publisher who happily lives on the west side of Los Angeles. Self-taught and self-motivated, she is married with two children and lives with her family, including her sister, in a house full of art, books, several cats and a long suffering dog.
She began taking photographs as a teenager, but only really found her eye as an adult. It was through the camera that she discovered her love of beauty and sought to capture it wherever she found it.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Wicca from a small theological college.
